The Companions, who had better faith than us, asked the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, to confront the Antichrist and deny him if they saw him. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, told them that because of the severity of his temptation, it is possible that when they see him, they will follow him and believe in him.
Can you imagine that? These are the companions, so what about us? There is only one believer who will face the Antichrist and will say to him, “You are the Antichrist.” The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, mentioned him in the noble hadith. I ask God that I be him.
The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: O Messenger of Allah, should we not argue with him and accuse him of lying? He said: Let none of you think that he is capable of doing that, for if he goes to him, he will be tempted and follow him, and will go astray and become an unbeliever.
They said: “Who will bear the greatest testimony before the Lord of the Worlds at that time?” He said: “A believer will head towards him and will be met by the vanguard of the Dajjal’s soldiers. They will say to him: ‘Where are you going, O man?’ He will say: ‘I will go to this man who claims to be a god.’ They will be amazed at his answer and ask him: ‘Do you not believe in our Lord?’ He will say: ‘This is not a Lord. Your Lord is the One who created the heavens and the earth. This is nothing but a disbelieving heretic.’ They will revolt against him and call out to kill him. They will be about to do so, but their leader will remind them that the Dajjal ordered them not to kill anyone until they inform him of that. They will chain him up and take him to the Dajjal. When a believer sees him, he will shout at the top of his voice: ‘O people, do not be deceived by this devil, for he is a liar and a fraud who claims what he does not have. This is what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) warned you against.” The Antichrist's anger will intensify, and he will order his henchmen to tie him up, flaying him, and beating his back and stomach. The Antichrist will say angrily, ordering his men to hurt and wound him, and the believing man's faith will increase. Then the Antichrist will order his men to saw him open from his head to his legs. They will do so, separating the two halves from each other. The Antichrist will walk between them, declaring his divinity, and people will prostrate themselves before him, filled with pride and arrogance. Then he will say to him, "Get up." The two halves will come closer and fuse, and the man will come back to life. The Antichrist will ask him, "Do you believe in me as a god?" The believer's face will light up, saying, "You have only increased in your insight, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) told us that you will do that to me." The man will shout at the top of his voice, "Be careful, O people, he will not be able to do anything to anyone after me. His magic has been nullified, and he will return to being a man robbed of his will, as he was before." The Antichrist will take him to slaughter him, but he will be unable to reach him, because Allah the Almighty made the space between his neck and his collarbone copper. The Antichrist will take him by the hands and feet and throw him. People will think that he has thrown him into the Fire, but in fact he has been thrown into Paradise. This is the greatest testimony before the Lord of the Worlds.
O God, make me the greatest witness before You, O God
