Since I published my book The Awaited Messages, many people who believe they are the Mahdi have contacted me, hoping that I will pledge allegiance to them.
I think they didn't read my book well.
I say to them, and I also say to those who believe that I am paving the way for myself to become the Mahdi:
I have contradicted the consensus of scholars that the Mahdi will be only a righteous man, and I have added to that a more difficult matter, which is that the Mahdi will be a “messenger,” in addition to the rest of the attributes that were mentioned in the hadiths and reports that pertain to the Mahdi.
What I mean by saying that the Mahdi will be a (messenger) is that I have set three basic conditions for knowing the Mahdi, which are:
The first condition: that the Mahdi will receive revelation from Allah Almighty. I do not believe that the revelation will be in the form of visions only, otherwise we would find thousands of people claiming that they are the Mahdi based on the visions they receive. Allah Almighty says: ((And it is not for a human being that Allah should speak to him except by revelation or from behind a veil or by sending a messenger to reveal, by His permission, what He wills. Indeed, He is Exalted and Wise.))
The second condition: It is the clear condition that the Mahdi will present to us when he appears, which is the evidence that Allah Almighty will support for the Mahdi so that we know him. The evidence is any extraordinary miracle that the whole world hears about and sees, and it is a miracle that is not specific to Muslims only, but to all people. Allah Almighty supported all the messengers with clear proofs, and Allah Almighty will not exclude the Mahdi from that verse ((And Our messengers had already come to them with clear proofs)) and despite that evidence, most people will deny the Mahdi, just like the previous nations that the messengers lived with before, and they said about them they were either magicians or madmen. So the simplest thing is that whoever sends me and tells me that he is the Mahdi, I will say to him, what is the evidence or miracle that proves that you are a messenger?
The third condition: The Mahdi will openly say to all people (just like the previous messengers) that he is the Messenger of God. He will not fear being killed, arrested, or accused of madness, and he will not say that he is a Messenger to a small number of people in secret. As long as he is a Messenger with a message from God Almighty to all people, then he must announce it himself with sound and image to all people, and he will not assign anyone to deliver his message or deliver it through posts on Facebook to a small number of people.
These three main conditions that I set in my book did not apply to anyone I have met so far, and these three conditions do not apply to me either, so that no one can say that I am paving the way for myself. If I were paving the way for myself, I would not have added three conditions for knowing the Mahdi that are impossible for me to fulfill. But through my book, I searched for the truth and presented it to you with utmost honesty, far from any personal whims or goals.
And whoever possesses these three main conditions, which are revelation, evidence, and the declaration that he is a Messenger, as I explained in my book, let him tell me so that I may pledge allegiance to him. Other than that, there is no need for you to tire yourselves with me.
I say it again that I do not pave the way in my book for the awaited messages for myself or anyone else, and there is no person, including me personally, to whom the description of the Mahdi as mentioned in my book applies so far.
