You're back where you started

The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Iraq has been denied its dirham and qafiz, Syria has been denied its mudd and dinar, and Egypt has been denied its ardeb and dinar, and you have returned to where you started.” Narrated by Muslim.
As for (Qafiz), it is a measure known to the people of Iraq.
As for (al-Madi), it is pronounced with a damma on the meem, with the same weight as (qafl), and it is a well-known measure for the people of the Levant.
The ardeb is a well-known measure among the people of Egypt.

In another narration on the authority of Abu Nadrah (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: “We were with Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) and he said: ‘Soon the people of Iraq will not have even a qafiz or dirham collected from them.’ We said: ‘From where will that come?’ He said: ‘The Persians will prevent that.’ Then he said: ‘Soon the people of Ash-Sham will not have even a dinar or mudd collected from them.’ We said: ‘From where will that come?’ He said: ‘From the Romans.’ Then he was silent for a while, then he said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: ‘At the end of my nation there will be a caliph who will scatter wealth around without counting it.’ I said to Abu Nadrah: ‘Do you think it is Umar ibn Abdul Aziz?’ He said: ‘No.’” Narrated by Muslim.

Iraq was besieged by the Persians, who are nothing but Arabs, because of Saddam Hussein's policy.
Now, Syria is besieged by the Romans, Europe and America, because of Bashar al-Assad’s insistence on power.
And now we are helping them implement their plans to besiege Egypt soon.
