The suffering of our master Moses, peace be upon him, with his people was more severe than his suffering with Pharaoh.<\/strong>

In fact, the suffering of our master Moses did not stop with Pharaoh and his tyranny and oppression, but rather it was compounded by his people, the Children of Israel, who were characterized by humiliation, baseness, argumentation, and vile natures. They were not willing to give up on that, not even with their prophet who was sent to save them from a life of humiliation and oppression.

All the events, miracles, and signs that took place between Moses and Pharaoh and his people were at the same time signs for the Children of Israel, as they witnessed with their own eyes how God supported them and how He, glory be to Him, answered the call of their Prophet, so that they might change their miserable natures and alter their bad habits that they had acquired over the long years. But they were not going to help their Prophet in his mission, and no one listened.

1- They rebuked Moses, their defender, and said to him: We were afflicted and harmed by the slaughter of our sons and the enslavement of our women at the hands of Pharaoh and his people, before you came to us, and after you came to us.

2- After they saw the great miracle of the sea splitting and their escape from Pharaoh and his soldiers, Allah sent down manna and quails as food so that they would not die of hunger in the desert. They were not satisfied with this and said, \u201cO Moses, we cannot endure with just one kind of food, so call upon your Lord to bring forth for us from what the earth grows of its herbs, cucumbers, garlic, lentils, and onions.\u201d So our master Moses said to them, \u201cWould you exchange that which is better for that which is worse?!\u201d

3- When the people of Moses saw another people worshipping their idols, they said, \u201cO Moses, make for us a god as they have gods.\u201d But our master Moses said to them, \u201cYou are an ignorant people.\u201d

4- When Moses, peace be upon him, went to meet his Lord and left his brother Aaron, peace be upon him, with his people, the Children of Israel worshipped the calf that the Samaritan had made for them from their jewelry. When Moses returned, he was surprised to find his people worshipping the calf instead of God, the Lord of the Worlds.

5- The matter did not end there, but they said to their prophet: We will not believe you until we see God clearly!!! So they were struck by lightning because of what they said.

6- When Moses ordered them to slaughter a cow, their audacity and impudence reached the point of responding badly to their prophet Moses, peace be upon him, as they were supposed to respond to his saying: (God commands you) with the words (We hear and we obey), but instead of that they accused him of mocking and ridiculing them (Do you take us in mockery?) and they also said to him (Call upon your Lord for us) as if he was only Moses\u2019 Lord and not their Lord. Our master Moses did not specify the descriptions of the cow, as if they had slaughtered any cow it would have sufficed for them, but they were strict with themselves so God was strict with them, and they did not find a cow with those descriptions except with great difficulty and at the highest prices.

7- Then the command came to them to go to Jerusalem (the Holy Land) to fight the giants and expel them from it and purify it from their filth. So they said to Moses, peace be upon him, \u201cGo, you and your Lord, and fight. We will stay here.\u201d So God Almighty decreed for them to wander for forty years in the deserts and mountains before God\u2019s promise to enter the Holy Land was fulfilled for them.

Unfortunately, we always know and remember the story of our master Moses with Pharaoh, but we forget and do not know the story of our master Moses with his people, even though his suffering with his people was more severe than his suffering with Pharaoh.
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was truthful when he said, \u201cMay God have mercy on Moses, he was harmed more than this, yet he was patient.\u201d
The dagger that stabs you in the back from those you defend is always more painful than the dagger that comes at you from the front from those who oppress and persecute you.
