The Defamed Ottoman Caliphate
One of the most important pillars of the great conspiracy orchestrated by the enemies of Islam to destroy its constants is to distort the idea of the Caliphate in general and the Ottoman Caliphate in particular in the minds of Muslims, sometimes describing it as an Ottoman invasion and occupation, and other times showing the Ottomans as racists who prefer the Ottoman-Turkish race to the Arab race.
In the face of this fierce attack and dirty campaign, it is necessary to explain in a few lines some of what the Ottomans did for Muslims and the whole world, so that people know the amount of fabrications and lies that have been attached to this great state.
First:
The Ottomans conquered many countries of the world, and hundreds of thousands were converted to Islam in the East and West, and their Muslim empire included three of the world's continents: Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Secondly:
Many of the Companions tried to conquer it since the time of Uthman ibn Affan, but their attempts were unsuccessful, until the Ottomans came and conquered it and turned it from the centre of the Christian attacks on Islam to the seat of the Caliphate from which armies set out to spread Islam throughout the world, and even changed its name to Istanbul, meaning "Dar al-Islam" (House of Islam).
Third:
Rescuing more than seventy thousand Andalusian Muslims, the "Moorish", and ridding them of the hideous inquisition set up by the Christians.
Fourth:
They terrorised all of Europe from east to west and controlled the Red, Black and Mediterranean Seas, the Arabian Gulf, Belgrade, Hungary, Rhodes and Crimea until they reached the walls of Vienna, and the Islamic navy under the heroic commander Khairuddin Barbarossa became the greatest naval power in the world.
Fifth:
The enemies of Islam used to make a thousand calculations before daring to attack any part of Islam, even if it was outside the control of the Ottomans, because they were well aware that the Ottomans were not defending their personal possessions, but defending every inch of the land of Islam.
Sixth:
The Ottomans stood as a barrier against Crusader and Zionist attempts to control Muslim holy sites, even in periods of weakness, and what Sultan Abdul Hamid II did is the biggest witness to this, when he refused to cede Palestine and his famous saying, "By God, it is easier for me to put a scalpel in my body than to see Palestine cut off from the land of the caliphate."
All this, of course, does not mean that the Ottomans were angels who did not make mistakes, as they were good and bad rulers, just like the rest of the Islamic states that preceded them.
As for the Great Arab Revolt, or what I call the Great Arab Betrayal, it was a revolution against the Islamic Ottoman Caliphate and was directed and assisted by Britain and its intelligence man Lawrence, who was famous for his role in helping the Arab forces during the Arab revolt against the Turks.
So Britain wanted, financed and directed an armed revolution from within the Arabs against the Ottoman rule under the cover of protecting Arab nationalism and freedom from Turkish occupation and the promise of establishing a major Arab state, and after the defeat of the Ottoman state, Britain did not fulfil its promises after the Ottoman rule in Palestine and the Levant was replaced by the British and French occupation, and the great Arab conspiracy paved the way for helping to topple the Ottoman state to the Sykes-Picot Agreement, the Balfour Declaration and the handover of Palestine to the Zionists.
This is the real history as it should be taught, but Arab governments do not recognise this history because they do not want to admit that they once betrayed Muslims, allied themselves with their enemies and were the cause of the loss of Palestine.
I hope to be ruled by a leader like Salah al-Din, Qutz or Muhammad the Conqueror, not interested in being Kurdish, Turkish, Caucasian or even Somali, but what interests me is a just Muslim leader who seeks to unite us and liberate our occupied land and establish a caliphate or an Arab-Islamic union like the European Union or the United States of America, as we are not less than them but better than them.
There is no reason to hate the Ottoman Caliphate because their rulers are Turkish
