For the friends who ask me about joining Uber and Careem, this is my advice to them. The work at Uber was based on the fact that whoever has a car works with it during his spare time as an additional resource for the car owner. This work was not considered a primary job, and therefore Uber calls whoever works in this job a partner because he shares in the company’s profit and loss. Working in the summer brings in a lot of profits, but in the winter and when the school year starts, the profits are small. In addition, if the car breaks down for two or three days, or you are sick, the company will not compensate you for the profits of the days you did not work, so the loss will be on you. Also, the daily profit depends on you. The more hours you open the application and receive many requests, the more you will earn. If you work a little, you will earn a little. All of this also depends on the number of requests. Some days there are many requests, and some days there are few requests. My advice to anyone who wants to work with these companies is to work with them during their free time and not depend on them as a main job. Also, the issue of you buying a car on installments specifically in order to work with Uber as a permanent job is a risk that is subject to loss for the previous reasons. Do not take into account that your income will be calculated and fixed every day and month in order to pay the installments and provide for your household expenses. I wish people would focus their efforts on finding a permanent job and make Uber and Careem an additional job. As for me, I work as an ISO consultant in the morning until 5 o'clock, then I go home, eat, and sit with the family for a while. Then I start working for Uber and Careem from 7 o'clock until 12 at night. I also work on holidays for Uber and Careem if I have free time, and if I have a long way to go, I take trips via Uber to get to the place I want. I hope that those who want to work for Uber and Careem work for them as an additional job, not as a main job.
