Book profits go to charity

May 31, 2018

I donated all the profits from all the books I wrote, and I refused to receive any personal compensation for them. I considered my reward for them to be from God Almighty, as I had before me the hadith of my grandfather, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace: “When the son of Adam dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.” So I wanted my writings to be knowledge that would be beneficial after my death.
The second reason is my feeling that my life is passing by without me achieving my goal, which is jihad and martyrdom for the sake of God. Most of my writings talked about jihad, hoping that they would be a reason to motivate other generations to jihad for the sake of liberating the captive Al-Aqsa, so I would receive the reward of those who read my book and participated in liberating Al-Aqsa, even if it was after my death.
All of this was before the revolution in 2009 and 2010, and I did not mention in my books at the time that I was an army officer, so as not to cause problems with my commanders in the army, nor be accused of extremism, and so that I could continue writing other books.
This is my goal in advertising and promoting my books, not my goal to make financial profits, and this has been the case since I wrote them until now.
Note: You will find this page at the beginning of all my books.
