Hadith of Lady Aisha - may God be pleased with her - when she said: I heard the Messenger of God - may God bless him and grant him peace - say: ((People will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection barefoot, naked, and uncircumcised)) I said: O Messenger of God, will men and women all look at each other? He said: ((O Aisha, the matter is more serious than that to concern them)), and in another narration: ((The matter is more serious than that of them looking at each other)), agreed upon.
I remembered this hadith in a dream in which I saw the gathering on the Day of Resurrection.
I was actually in a vision walking among millions of naked people, men and women, as far as the eye could see, in a scene that I cannot describe, but what I can describe is that the atmosphere was hot and there was something above us that looked like our sun as far as the eye could see, and everyone was trying to escape its heat, and none of the men cared about the naked women around him because of the intensity of the horror of the scene around us, and everyone was walking in one direction towards something that looked like a display before God Almighty.
Next to this square was another square that was topped by something like a hill. People walked in it in the same direction, but those walking in it were covered by something like a cloud that shaded them and protected them from the heat.
Everyone in the lower courtyard cannot ascend to the upper courtyard, as ascending to it requires hidden powers, and no one can ascend to it. So at that time I wished to move to the upper courtyard, and then I found hidden powers ascending me to the upper courtyard. However, I was on its edges, sometimes in the heat and sometimes in the shade, and people were walking beside me. I wished to walk among them until I was completely in the shade, and then the vision ended.
The vision ended and I was regretting that I had not entered the midst of those whom God completely shelters.
“More than ten years have passed since I had this vision and I still remember it perfectly, and believe me, the matter is more difficult than you can imagine about the Day of Resurrection and the scene of gathering. I do not know whether it is possible for someone to see a vision of the Day of Resurrection with his own eyes or if it is just a nightmare, but I ask Allah, the Almighty, that I be one of the seven whom Allah will shade with His shade on the day when there is no shade but His: a just imam, a young man who grew up in the worship of Allah, a man whose heart is attached to the mosques, two men who love each other for the sake of Allah and meet and part for that reason, a man who is invited by a woman of position and beauty but he says, ‘I fear Allah,’ a man who gives charity and hides it so that his left hand does not know what his right hand is spending, and a man who remembers Allah in private and his eyes overflow with tears.”
Please pray that I will be one of them.
